History
The School’s Auction Idol Competition
is the brainchild of Trustee Lindsay
Warner. The concept evolved from a strategic planning
meeting and tackles succession planning by introducing
our fantastic profession of Auctioneering
to school students as a possible career
choice.
Initially we contacted TAFE SA and the
Catholic Education Board. From this the concept, structure and workbooks evolved such
that the process of learning about Auctions
and putting their performances together
blended in with their Schools curriculum
and contributed towards their SACE. A detailed interactive workbook is available,
and Society Auctioneer Mentors
are allocated to each participating school.
Eligibility is for Years 11, 12 & 13
